CaptionCall is pleased to announce that as part of our affiliation with the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), we will be participating in “Active Aging Week” again this year.  Every year ICAA dedicates a full week for promoting health and wellness among aging adults.  This year’s “Active Aging Week” theme is “Explore the Possibilities”.  We are all invited to take part in helping aging adults discover the many ways they can live longer, happier, healthier lives.

CaptionCall has designed a fun, one hour interactive presentation, called I just called to say…” that highlights the health benefits of treating hearing loss, followed by a demo of the CaptionCall phone and how to order it.  We would love to host the “I just called to say…” workshop at your business or community during “Active Aging Week”, or any other time.

If you are interested in learning more about the workshop and how to host one, visit www.activeagingweek.com, hover over Theme days, and click I just called to say”.   When you fill out the form on this page someone from CaptionCall will follow up with you to go over qualifications, answer any questions and reserve your date.

We look forward to exploring the possibility of hosting a workshop with you!

We typically blog about a variety of helpful tips and recommendations for hearing health.  However, when it comes to hearing health and staying socially connected, we would be remiss not to talk about us – CaptionCall – at least for a moment.

Staying socially connected is critical for our overall health and wellness.  Hearing loss can make that challenging, especially when it comes to using the phone.  It can be frustrating, even embarrassing, asking people to continually repeat themselves.  At CaptionCall, we’ve got you covered.  You can receive a free CaptionCall phone and have it set up in your home at no cost in no time, and start using the phone again with confidence.

The CaptionCall phone provides smooth-scrolling captions of what your callers say on a large, easy-to-read display screen that is built right into the phone.  The captions are fast so you don’t get behind in the conversation.  Captions are accurate so you can easily understand.  The font size of the captions are adjustable to accommodate visual impairments. By using the call captioning feature, you are able to simultaneously hear AND READ what is being said.  It truly takes all the stress out of using the telephone.  CaptionCall delivers peace of mind and independence to anyone who has difficulty communicating effectively by phone.  To order a complimentary* CaptionCall phone, visit www.captioncall.com.

Well, enough about us (for now ☺).  We encourage you to take action for your hearing loss so you can stay socially engaged for a longer, happier, healthier life!

*Certification of hearing loss by a hearing-care or healthcare professional is required to participate in the free offer.  There are no upfront or monthly charges for eligible individuals to get and use the CaptionCall phone.
