CaptionCall Marketing Director

Q: Please describe your role in the company and why it is important?

A: I am a director in the marketing department in the CaptionCall business. The team I manage is involved in several aspects including events, online marketing, content creation, and the website.  My team also creates programs that generate leads through hearing healthcare channels. We are focused on finding individuals that need CaptionCall to use the telephone effectively 

Q: What do you bring to your role that adds value to the company?

A: I feel I have a wide range of marketing expertise in different industries. Prior to joining CaptionCall, I had marketing roles with a national pizza chain, a national drug store chain, and a tech startup. I also spent time as a sales representative and as an analyst with a marketing agency.

Q: What does the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) provide for people who are Deaf and hard-of-hearing?

A: Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), people who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing are entitled to the same services (such as telephone communications) as those provided to people without hearing loss. Deaf and hard-of-hearing people may not be excluded or segregated from services, be denied services, or otherwise be treated differently than other people.  

Q: Please describe how regulations (government rules) impact what we do as a company.

A: The regulations do impact ways we market CaptionCall. The way we talk about and educate individuals about CaptionCall must be done in a compliant manner.

Q: What is the greatest challenge you have overcome – or are still overcoming – in your work?

A: The greatest challenge for our team is finding individuals with hearing loss who need CaptionCall to use the telephone effectively. 

Q: What is the best part of your work?A: First, I enjoy working with my team. They are smart and hard-working and care about CaptionCall and our mission. Second, I have had the experience to talk to dozens of our customers over the years and have heard their stories of how CaptionCall positively impacted their lives.
