Both the phone and related CaptionCall services are funded by a federal program to help people with hearing loss communicate better. You can request a no-cost phone for a patient with your professional certification. Or, if a patient has already purchased a phone, help them submit a rebate request.
Who is eligible for CaptionCall?
Many of your patients with a mild, moderate, or severe hearing loss may qualify for a complimentary CaptionCall phone. If they struggle on the phone and, in your professional opinion, need captions to communicate effectively by phone, they qualify for this service. They also need a standard phone line* and internet connection at home.
