Recommendations from a Patient

How can a hearing-care professional inspire their patients to hear their very best? Recently Hearing Review posted an article from a patient with advice for hearing care professionals on how to keep their patients motivated. She boiled it down to four points:


  • Treat clients with respect and compassion
  • Learn new technologies
  • Embrace the broader hearing loss community
  • Speak up against noise – Present to local business on how to keep places from being too loud

In her blog post she suggests that the more hearing care or senior care professionals get involved with new technologies and with the hearing loss communities in their area (such as HLAA), the greater influence they will have on helping people with hearing loss take action for their hearing loss.
