The Federal Lifeline program is designed to help people overcome the digital divide.  It offers financial assistance for phone and internet access. If you receive Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance, Supplemental Security Income, or Federal Public Housing Assistance, you can qualify for low-cost internet through Lifeline.

NOTE – look for ‘Home Phone’ options, not ‘Mobile’ options.

Once your internet is installed and CaptionCall receives your certification form, we’ll send a CaptionCall Trainer to install your phone and show you how easy it is to use!

*CaptionCall requires a telephone land line and an internet connection via an internet service provider (ISP).

FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. IP Captioned Telephone Service may use a live operator. The operator generates captions of what the other party to the call says. These captions are then sent to your phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund. No costs are passed along to individuals who qualify for the service.
