Planning to learn an instrument?  That’s fantastic!  Learning to play an instrument is healthy for the brain and can be a fun hobby.  However it is important to remember to protect your hearing.  Whether practicing a drum solo in the garage or brushing up on the violin, hearing loss can be a real problem for musicians.  ENT and Audiology Associates posted a great infographic with some data on just how prevalent hearing loss is for musicians.

Don’t let this stop you though.  Learning an instrument can be an amazing use of your time.  Just be safe! Get some ear protection and let the good times rolls.
