Q: Please describe your role in the company and why it is important.
A: My role is to ensure that our customers’ experience is consistent and that they receive the highest-quality captioning service. I am responsible for developing leadership teams who focus on hiring, center management, forecasting, scheduling, and training. This is important because it keeps customers connected in their professional and personal lives.
Q: What do you bring to your role that adds value to the company?
A: The value I bring is from my personal experience using CaptionCall. The service has helped me reconnect with my mom. I use this perspective to develop every leader I have the opportunity to work with. Our customers are always on the forefront of my mind.
Q: What does the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) provide for people who are Deaf and hard-of-hearing?
A: The ADA provides equal access to communication and opportunities. I am so proud to work for a company that bridges the gap between the hard-of-hearing and hearing worlds.
Q: Please describe how regulations (the government rules) impact what we do as a company.
A: Keeping customer information, along with our employee information, secure and safe remain among our primary company goals. Government rules and regulations drive our policies and processes. We continue to evaluate our systems to ensure safety and compliance.
Q: What is the greatest challenge you have overcome – or are still overcoming – in your work?
A: The greatest challenge is ensuring that customers are connected immediately to captions, particularly through unpredictable events such as the ongoing pandemic.
Q: What is the best part of your work?
A: The company’s mission and values are aligned with what I believe in. I believe in the service we provide. I believe in the importance of people being connected, and I believe in my colleagues who join me in wanting to make a difference in the world.
