How Loud Is Too Loud?

It’s tough, in the heat of the moment, to determine if a sound really is loud enough to harm your hearing. The safe approach is to always have hearing protection on hand just in case you need it.

The Better Hearing Institute has a great noise “thermometer” to help you gage if something could be damaging to your hearing!  See the infographic here:

You can never be too careful when it comes to protecting your hearing, so if you end up being exposed to jet engines or any other unexpected loud noise, be prepared with a couple ear plugs in your pocket.  It’s that easy!

CaptionCall is an ambassador for hearing health and an advocate for people with hearing loss.  CaptionCall encourages people everywhere to actively manage their hearing health through regular hearing evaluations, and to seek early treatment when hearing loss is identified.  CaptionCall is committed to helping people with hearing loss stay socially engaged for a longer, happier, healthier life.
