Got Your Hearing Health Resolutions?

The New Year is rapidly approaching and with it comes the chance to start fresh with some new goals. Here are some ideas for your hearing health in the new year:

  • Exercise – Let’s get the one you’ve probably already written down out of the way. Did you know that exercising can help with blood flow to your ears? Good blood flow makes for healthier hearing.
  • Eating healthy – Did you know that there are a multitude of vitamins and minerals that help your hearing work at the top of its game? Eating a healthy serving of fruits and vegetables doesn’t just help the heart. It helps with your whole auditory system.
  • Get a hearing test – What better goal can you make? Hearing tests are easy to set Just find a local hearing care professional and they will get you taken care of. Being proactive at the first sign of hearing loss is the most important thing you can do to keep listening at your best.
  • Get a good night’s sleep – Getting well rested is vital towards helping your ears sustain themselves. If possible make yourself a sleep schedule!

Some of these things may have already be on your list, and that’s great! Hearing health can be serve as one more powerful  reason to keep your New Year resolutions for 2018.

  1. My 3 resolutions for the upcoming year are as follows: –

    1. Drink a glass of water upon waking in the morning — aim for eight ounces.
    2. When taking an escalator, don’t just ride but walk up those moving steps.
    3. Eat more high-quality dark chocolate (aim for 70 percent cocoa) — it’s loaded with antioxidants.

    What are your suggestions on my resolutions?
