4 Things You May Be Doing That Can Hurt Your Hearing

By CaptionCall | May 16, 2019 | 0 Comments
Hearing health can be a finicky thing. There may be some things you are doing right now that you didn’t know could be damaging your hearing.
  1. Not getting enough sleep – Getting a good night’s sleep can be a challenge sometimes, but did you know that sleep helps your ears to recover from the day’s sounds? You may want to make sure you are hitting the hay at a decent hour each night.
  2. Smoking – Nicotine restricts blood flow and good blood flow is vital to helping your hearing stay strong. Find the opportunity to quit and your overall health, not just your hearing, will thank you.
  3. Not taking care of your teeth – Bacteria that builds up in an unhealthy mouth can lead to infection. This can also lead to restricted blood flow to the ears.
  4. Not eating enough vegetables – Good eating will help your circulatory system work better meaning the blood flow to your ears will be nice and smooth.
You’ll notice that it’s important to keep your overall health in ship shape to keep your ears working strong. Today is a great day to make any of these simple changes to keep the hearing you have at its best. CaptionCall is an ambassador for hearing health and an advocate for people with hearing loss.
