Free with Professional Certification
For your patients to qualify for the free CaptionCall phone and service, they must obtain certification from a hearing-care or healthcare professional indicating they have hearing loss and need CaptionCall to communicate effectively by phone.

Patient Eligibility
Anyone who has trouble using the telephone due to hearing loss is a possible candidate for CaptionCall. There is no predetermined decibel threshold to qualify. Your patient must simply have a hearing loss that, in your professional opinion, necessitates the use of captioned telephone service to communicate effectively by phone.
- To use the CaptionCall phone, a qualified individual will need a standard phone line and an internet connection.
- To use CaptionCall Mobile, they will need a CaptionCall account, an Apple iPad 2 or later, and a Wi-Fi or cellular internet connection.
